Cognitive Remediation Therapy

What is it?

Cognitive Remediation Therapy (or CRT) is a type of therapy that focuses on helping you understand your thinking style and improve your flexible thinking. It is used to treat adults with Anorexia nervosa.

CRT can be done as a one to one or as a small group therapy and it usually runs for six to eight sessions.

Does it work?

CRT is considered an ‘add on’ treatment for anorexia nervosa and adults as well as their other therapy.

It also seems to help them engage better with the other parts of their treatment plan.
